This hike kicked our asses! That being said it was one of the most beautiful and incredible views so completely worth it. We got there
Decided to take along a pair of solar glasses so we could see the solar eclipse as we scaled the mountain to High Point. Â Weather
We took the fire road all the way up and down, it was pretty steep the whole way up, it was also pretty exposed and
Tough as nails hike. Felt like it was never ending ascensions and descensions. Dog made it cool though.
Drove part way up the Palomar Divide Truck Trail. Stopped partway up to observe the eclipse and enjoy the breakfast I bought at Farmhouse 78.
Great hike up to Volcan Mountain. Weather was great with a cool breeze. Took Five Oaks Trail up and was majestic.
