Parked in camping area between stonewall and Cuyamaca hikes… and then hiked up the fire trail pretty steep and there were some bugs but not
Beautiful sunny Saturday morning as we took the Azalea Glen trail up. It was better than anticipated with small stream crossings and water running down
After completing Cuyamaca I headed over to solo hike volcan Mountain. It was about noon and there were still lots of folks on the trail.
Weather was great! Loved that the wildflowers are in bloom right now. Not too crowded, barely saw any people. The only negative were the bugs.
Began at 9 20 and finished at 12 40. Gorgeous day w temp in parking lot at 72 when I returned. I had done this
Steady incline. We took the Five Oaks Trail diversion on the way up — increases distance by about .4 miles, but it’s a steadier ascent
