Volcan Mountain was my second hike of the day and I didn't get started until after 1 pm which meant it wasn't likely that it
First time on Woodson (and Potato Chip rock). Opted for the service road route on the east side of the mountain. It's 2 miles straight
started early and went straight up to peak. Â Several areas with patches of ice and snow along with mud. Â Saw a coyote in the distance
What description can I add to this hike the others haven't already noted. Easy to follow well maintained. Start early and know your ability level.
Great trail entering from Azalea Glen Loop. Trail is still covered with snow but manageable with proper gear.
I started my hike at 10:08am on the Azalea Glen Trail. This route adds some mileage but this route gets you away from other people
