Started solo, but met some friends at the summit. Threw in El Capitan on the way up and hit the mines on the way down.Â
The first two miles were a tough climb on the lungs…then it smoothed out a bit. Beautiful hike. Patchy melting snow (not too much left).
It was a beautiful day but cold and windy. We saw a few people on the trails but over all it was good, just windy.
Trail mostly snow covered, parts of trail basically walking in a creek due to the snow melt. Wet feet and cold on the way back
Fun hike! Snow about 1.5 miles into the trail. I was looking forward to the beautiful views at the top, but got lots of fog
The weather was the story of the day; cold and cloudy!!! Once at the peak we could not see any further than the peak itself!
