Cuyamaca peak

The paved road to the top was uneventful. Very few people on the trail unlike Volcan Mtn. Started about noon, weather was perfect. Don't forget

some rough uphill the last mile before the peak but for sure rewarding, jogged down the paved fire look out road.

1/11/25. Duo hike & we did Cuyamaca first then Volcan. Sunny but super cool to cold temps with intermittent cold wind gusts. We loved it

Started very early and we were the first in the parking lot. I met new hikers that hopefully will be an addition to our hiking

This trail takes you through different foliage of manzanita trees, pine trees and small streams.  The area has recovered nicely from the fire, I believe
