Cuyamaca peak

Great hike. In my opinion, the best views offered by a peak in San Diego. Took the Azalea Trail to Conejos Trail to the top.

Left from Paso Picacho Campground where we had stayed for the night.  The trail is a paved fire road, but is possible to take Azalea

My first time hiking this peak. Started at Campground, up via Azalea Glen Trail and down via fire road, about 8 miles. The way down

Some snow patches but not on trail. Parking $10 in envelope at front desk. Beautiful day. Start from Azalea Glen Loop and then come down

Saturday is perfect weather day for hiking Cuyamaca Peak.  It's a 7.7 miles hike with beautiful scenery.  We took longer trail with shades.

Great hike second time here.  First time we went up the fire road, it was shorter and it was steep with no shade.
