I arrived at the trailhead a little before 10 am, I parked on the road vice the county parking lot just in case I wasn't

An unforgiving slog, best done in cool weather and starting early. Lots of up and down both ways, with steep rutted trails. Nice views at
Bring lots of water more than you think you need. Start early it took me 7 hours to complete.
