Dark at the start and at finish good thing for headlamps — cold & windy day

This hike was a lot harder than I anticipated because the hills are steep! I’ve hiked a lot, but I’ve never encountered so much up

Steep up and down parts, rocks on some parts of the trail, and the last .3 to the peak is an aggressive climb up

My Mom and I had been wanting to do this trail for the longest time, and to start of the new year we finally did

Great hike, very challenging, but taking it slow with plenty of breaks made it doable.

I was going to start the year and the challenge with an easy hike but the condition were perfect for El Cajon so decided to
