High Point

Finally got to hike in some late season snow! Trail was in good condition, areas of snow for the last mile up to the summit,

Needing to get away and knowing that this is a less traveled trail I ventured up to High Point for a second time this year.

Our planned hike out to Collins and Knob Benchmarks for my Sierra Club San Diego Peaks 89/90 was aborted due to a closed gate, so

Perfect time of year to do this…no bugs!  We had a cloudy, bit misty day so we did not get to experience the view; but

It was nice and cool, which we appreciated because this is a long hike. Our longest at that point, and I regretted not having more
