Trail starts up the side of the mountain until reaches the ridgeline. You then follow the fire road to the summit of Palomar Mountain. Super
It was a good day to hike to the high point of Palomar Mountain. Blue skies and cool temperatures.
I almost marked this one down as an overnight for type of hike because I got a little off course which added about a mile

We had a very chilly start (the drive through Warner Springs area said 29 degrees) but we warmed up really quick on the first 2-mile
First 2 miles are the trail and it’s up, up, and up! Then you hit the fire road. Lovely views as you climb. No shade
