Incredible time of year to hike Mt. Palomar. It was nice and cool. No, mud, snow or ice. We saw a few hiker and mountain
Brisk morning start from Oak Grove campground. Icy sections on the north facing slopes. Got muddy as it thawed on the descent.
We started at the trailhead at 8:30. We wanted to wait until it warmed up a little. The only thing different I have to add
Slightly aggressive uphill start to the trail then you get on a fire road and its not bad from there . Other then the ice
Driving there was a breeze. Parking lot is next to the for station off the 79. Make sure to have an adventure pass or purchase
