Always a pleasure to hike to the source of the San Dieguito River. I usually take the Five Oaks side trail on the way up.Â
Didn’t see many other hikers. The second half of the trail was VERY windy and cold- wish we had brought warmer clothes! At the top
Took about 2.5 hrs. The second half was very windy and cold- wish we had brought warmer clothes. Lots of pretty manzanita and green fields.
Weather was slightly cooler and perfect for the first part. Wind at the top was extremely cold and strong – as usual.
