It was a warm day ! Started around 7 am to beat the heat . Not too busy when we started . On the way

Low temperature,  high winds, clear air, great views.

Cold and windy day for a hike, especially as I neared the summit.  Getting to the trailhead was easy and there was plenty of parking

Thick fog at our  7am start to the hike that never broke. We observed lots of animal scat and heard coyotes howling in the distance.

We decided to get to the trail early…which was probably a bad idea because it was foggy the entire time. We heard that this hike
