Family hike, 1st of the 6 peak challenge. Did the whole loop counter clockwise. From Chantry Flats, started via the Upper Creek Trail, to Hoggee
Great hike. Started off right around 6:45 am in crisp, mid 30’s temps. Things warmed up as the ascent progressed, until I hit the saddle.
I read lots of people complains about this hike but I found it really beautiful. Weather was great. We did encounter a bear though! We
Ice and clouds everywhere. Icehouse Saddle was extremely cold as always. Sitting above the clouds and watching them move in the wind was an amazing
on our way up we hit Josephine Peak which has absolutely beautiful view. then on to Strawberry Peak. It is steep and has endless saddles.
