What a long day complete with off roading, a closed gate that added 2 extra miles to our hike and coming up to the trail

Brought the big 4×4 Jeep and they wouldn’t let us in due to impending storm. Our only choice was to start the 24.1 mile hike

The drive to and from the trailhead is more concerning than the hike which is a comfortable gradual incline along a dirt road.

Well, well, well this was the 6th challenge and it needed to get done that day to complete the Six-Peak 🗻 Challenge.  We thought easy-peasy

I'm based in Orange County, so Santiago Peak is my local peak. There are lots of ways to get there. I think Maple Springs Truck

Need to have a 4×4 car to reach the trailhead. We parked far and we have to walk on dusty road with off roading cars
