Santiago Peak

Clouds never cleared so we ended up hiking through them all the way up. The clouds and foliage made it feel like exploring Jurassic Park.

Started early and hiked up into the clouds–when we got back to the starting point the lot had filled up significantly (mostly trucks). Saw several

I hiked Santiago Peak via Maple Springs.  I got a late start so I had to hustle to summit and get back down before dark. 

The minor obstacles being Jeeps, and trucks, and then more Jeeps.  Imagine walking down an urban sidewalk except,  it isn't paved, there's not enough room

Holy Jim Trail is gone, so Main Divide Road is the trail. It started out cool and overcast but soon we were above the cloud

Cool but sunny.   Marine layer limited visibility to only the nearby peaks
