Black Crater was the first of my peaks. I am visiting from Seattle and did not know what to expect. The trail was great. Had a smoky day, which hampered my views but not my overall feeling for this trail. Very nice.
Not many folks on the trail, I got an early start to avoid the heat. Did run into other challengers on the trail rocking their 6 Pack of Peaks tang top.
Great introduction into the challenge.
