Good Karma on Black Butte

This was a fantastic hike, we were blessed with amazing weather.

The forecast was bleak. It looked like 20mph wind (with higher gusts), the possibility of snow, and almost certainly we would be in the clouds (and have no views).

Fortunately, we had beautiful views the entire hike. No rain. No snow falling. And the trail was navigable all the way to the summit.

Microspikes and trekking poles were helpful, but there just wasn’t that much snow up there yet due to the unusually warm winter so far.
