Mount Wilson

Hiked the Mount Wilson loop via  Stutervant Falls and back down Winter Creek. Trail conditions were good with a small section of burned area on the descent at the Mount Wilson Observatory parking lot. Lots of poodle-dog bush and erosion in this area so watch your step. Mosquitos and gnats were a small nuisance, but only really noticed them when stopping for breaks. Parking lot was full by 6:10 AM. Had to wait ~10 minutes for the overflow parking to open and pay the $20 fee. Weather was hot, which was expected coming off a record breaking heat wave, but the Mount Wilson Observatory offers a welcome relief to the heat and a chance to fill up on water. Overall a great a hike. Would definitely recommend.
