Wilson Wildflowers

Beautiful hike! I did an out and back on the Sturtevant Trail, taking a short detour for the falls & spending time walking around the top & reading about the observatory and its history. Most hikers stick to the flatter trails near the bottom, so it was pretty quiet around the trail camp and up. There was a group doing trail maintenance at the top of the trail which I appreciated.

Highlights were seeing wildflowers and the changing vegetation as I went up  – I loved the pines at the top. Trail was well-maintained with nicely carved-out switchbacks. The low points was the gnats–there were a few points that I wished I had brought my head net with me.
