I did Cucamonga and Ontario Peak the day before, so I wasn’t sure how good I’d feel on Baden-Powell, but it was actually a great hike! The trail is easy to follow and the switchbacks make it less steep.

The trail is also mostly shaded, so that was really nice. It was cooler weather at Baden-Powell vs Cucamonga/Ontario, but it wasn’t cold. The peak was windy, but not so much that I put on another layer.

I was very happy to finish this one as it was my last peak for the challenge! After it I drove through Angeles National Forest, got some food at Pie N Burger in Pasadena, then drove back to Ontario Airport to fly back to the Bay. Thanks SoCal for 6 fantastic peaks!

    1. Hi Jeff – That’s a great question! I’d say most difficult were Cucamonga and Ontario Peaks since I did them together. It was a long day, but a good one! My favorite was probably Mt Wilson because I had planned to do it originally on Jan 8 (when it was sadly on fire) and I didn’t think I’d get to do it after that. I was excited when they reopened a trail and I got to do it. It was sad to see all the fire damage, but I’m glad the observatory is still standing!
