I’ll start. My wife and I have two labradoodles, Lucy (a medium) and Farley (a standard). They have done peaks in the San Diego, SoCal, and Central Oregon challenges, but have yet to finish. 😉

Beautiful Dobie! We had a very good boy named Lucky, who was a red Dobie. They are such sweet dogs.

I just started hiking with my new dog Zona. I rescued her a couple months ago on a trip to the Grand Canyon. She was running loose on the highway in a remote area, so I stopped to scoop her up. No collar or microchip. I recently took her on a 12 mile hike to Ontario Peak and she handled it better than I did!

Awesome Dog! I am sure she is super happy you picked her up and adopted her! What a shame of people that dump their dogs in this manner.

Thanks Tony! Either she was dumped by someone or she might have been a stray dog from the nearby Navajo reservation. Unfortunately, they were hit hard by Covid and have a huge stray dog problem.

This is Freya. She has her own Instagram @hikingwithmyhusky but doesn’t have the stamina to hike more than 3-5 miles. We took her on the West Fork Trail in Sedona in early October, and she loved it, but was wiped out for a day or two. She did well in the McDowells earlier in March. And she loves the snow up in Flagstaff, AZ!

Here’s Maggie May. She is an almost 10-year-old black lab / blue heeler (Australian cattle dog) mix. Last year, she did four of the six peaks for the SoCal challenge with me. She is definitely happiest when she’s on a trail with water. We go all around L.A. County in search of adventure and a place to swim.

What a lovely black coat! I’m sure Fiona is also a great companion.

I love this! We have four dogs…my three older dogs are nearly 10-16 years old so they can’t go as far.

That’s awesome! I wish I could have more dogs but one is a lot to handle already. Props to you!
