Beautiful day for our 2nd  hike of the series.  We decided to go for a little distance on this one.  The terrain was reminiscent of a dry Missouri creek bed (ahhh, growing up in the Ozarks!) except the incline taking you up.  The switch backs of the trail made it a (mostly) easy climb, there was only one spot where my fear of heights kicked in, but it was just a short stretch.  We met a few people coming and going, but for the most part, it was a peaceful, quiet hike.  Amazing View at the summit, and it took the same amount of time getting down as it did going up, even with the extra stops for LOTS of pics. It was fun to start off with the balancing rock above us and then the view when we were even with it and finally above it!  I really enjoyed this one!
