**SNOW?!**

Just when I didn’t think this hike could become anymore beautiful or difficult, nature decided to prove me wrong. The forecast showed 0% chance of precipitation and per the radar we were in the clear of any storms. Though this storm decided to creep up with no warning. As soon as we hit the top of Flatiron, it started snowing! As we started to head down, the wind kicked up and the snow really started to come down. This added to an already difficult hike, making it a true epic hike that I will never forget!

I started the hike at 1pm.. was a last minute decision and the original plan was to complete the superstition ridgeline. That didn’t happen but thankful Flatiron was the finishing point. We completed the hike at 6pm. About 3/4 of the way in I ended up buddying up with an awesome group the rest of the way and down. This was the perfect encounter as some teamwork was definitely needed.

This was the exact hike I wanted to wrap up twenty-nineteen. I have been blessed to complete the hikes I have done in 2019 and I can’t wait to see what trails in 2020 I’ll be adding to my books!!
