Holy S**T!!  All I have to say is thank goodness my hiking buddy, Christina Bennett, is always so prepared for our hikes.  She's amazing because she researches each peak and watches videos of the hikes and makes sure we have everything we need to be ready to hike each peak.  This is our second weekend driving to Arizona and our third peak of the challenge.   So this is the hike that you really need gloves for (a first for me) because you will encounter quite a bit of cabling to assist you in getting up and down the trail.  Water was quite essential on this hike and it was pretty strenuous.  This was a very steep trail with lots of tricky parts throughout.  When we got to the vertical cabling I was somewhat intimidated.  It's pretty amazing what we are capable of once confronted with a challenge.  It was truly exhilarating to get through the difficult parts of this hike and get to the top.  We enjoyed a 360 degree view and felt very accomplished.  Again, as we descended the trail it got a lot busier and there were several times when we stopped to let other hikers pass on their way up.  I'm always amazed that some people don't look prepared for the challenge they're about to embark on but everyone seems to make it somehow.   As we passed a gentlemen on our way down the last part of the hike he stopped and asked me if it gets easier, I said “would  you hate me if I told you that you just got through the easy part”? he said, “a little”….I was thrilled to get down this mountain and live to tell the tale!
