Fremont Saddle: What a babe. The dirt road to the trailhead is a bit bumpy, but the scenery is incredible. Sahuaros sprawl across the desert floor and peek out of crevices in the mountains. The majority of the trail is full of green vegetation (In Arizona? What is this wizardry?!) It was a hot day, but there was a nice cool breeze that kept us moving along happily. The trail is rocky, but not terribly difficult. It doesn't hold a candle to a Flatiron or Camelback in terms of effort required. I wore my Six Peaks shirt on the hike which felt a bit like stolen valor, so I was happy when we reached the saddle and I could finally rock my shirt with pride. Most people on the trail stopped at the highest point of the saddle, but we meandered on a bit (following the AllTrails map) and found a much better view of Weaver's Needle in the valley below. This was easily the most beautiful hike of the six. And it capped off the last of our six. MISSION ACCOMPLISHED! 🙂
