My hiking mentor Chris Coronel invited me to Mount Whitney with him.  It was training mode for us.  Chris hadn't hiked quite a bit due to his injury.  So, we decided to hike up to Ontario Peak as a starter.

The trails were well-maintained.  The weather was quite warm.  There were blooming flowers.  The trees were very lush.

Chris got his rhythm back.  He hiked much faster than I.  I couldn't catch up to him.  I've done Ontario Peak many times and knew ghetto trail quite well.  As we got to tge campsite that was 2.5 miles from Ontario Peak, I saw many tents there.  It was quite early and I quietly hiked in this area.

A mile from Ontario Peak, I took a breather.  I enjoyed the view   There were alot of clouds.  I couldn't see the cities below.  I slowly crawled myself up to Ontario Peak.  I found there were many hikers already there.  Chris and I ate and hydrated.  We took our summit photos and ran down to our cars because Chris was going to take me to a Mexican restaurant.
