I just moved to Tucson this summer and haven't hiked much in years so I thought this might be a good hike to start out. Turns out I might have made a small miscalculation in my choice of trailhead to start from. I decided to start from El Camino Del Cerro trailhead, hike to the turn up to the peak and then back down King Canyon Trail. I like through hikes better than out and back so I thought this was a good idea. Turns out while a nice hike that is the longer, harder way to get to the top. I had a great time and found several good hikes for later. I also got bit by the hiking bug again. I'm looking forward to getting to the rest of the hikes but for now it is 1 down, 5 to go.
FYI, Gaia GPS is a great help.
