Finished all 12 peaks now.  Decided to knock off the last 2 (San Bernardino & San Gorgonio) for spring break since the kids wanted to spend the night on each mountain.  Camped at High Creek.  Next morning summit then headed out and back home.  Storm was coming in the following day, but we had perfect weather.  It was a little windy at the summit, but nothing we are not used to.  Kids brought their sleds and had fun sledding around the tent.

    1. Thanks Jeff. Snow started right after the switchbacks as you enter the canyon at Vivian Creek. From that point it was full snow all the way to the High Creek and up to the summit. Post holing was not an issue. Most of the time we let the kids lead and we stepped in their footprints. 🙂 We only sank in about ankle depth. Once we needed to traverse around the mountain to get to High Creek, it was exposed to the sun. So it was softer, but not an issue as it was still early. We camped at High Creek. Next morning the snow was firm and perfect. Crampons all the way to the summit (did not use our snowshoes). On the way down to the tent and car, it softened up a lot and some sections we sank to our knees.
