This was the 3rd peak for my SoCal challenge and I’m glad with my progress and hoping to complete all 6 of them early this year.

Previous hikes to Santiago were almost solitary, just us and few others off-roading or motor biking. Today, more hikers and mountain bikers, just saw 2 or 3 motor bikers  and going back, as if on cue, vehicles started driving up the dusty gravel fire road. It was also chilly and intermittent wind.

Just like our last hike, a few months back, the sign still missing. I always wonder why there’s such unscrupulous individuals removed the signs from the peak, not just this one but it’s a norm now with the other peaks as well. I’m sure whoever they are, they didn’t bring the sign in the past that suddenly changed their mind and started taking it back.

Looking on the bright side, the weather to hike was perfect with the overcast:-)
