Introducing the Arizona Winter Six-Pack of Peaks Challenge
The Six-Pack of Peaks Challenge Series is growing again.
The Arizona Winter Six-Pack of Peaks Challenge is now live! This winter challenge features six hikes within a few hours of Phoenix, and all are suitable for hiking in fall, winter or spring. To kick things off for this newest challenge, we are offering FREE Starter-level registration for the first 100 challengers, as well as early-bird pricing on Explorer and Trailblazer registrations.
The hikes for the Arizona Winter Six-Pack of Peaks Challenge were scouted by our newest ambassador, Richard Oppelaar, and includes local favorites as well as a few lesser-known hikes. For a complete overview with links to detailed trail guides for each hike, visit our Arizona Winter Six-Pack of Peaks Challenge overview.
The winter challenge is perfect for locals, snow-birds and visitors. You can hike all six in a week, or take your time and spread them out over six months. Hike your own hike, and fit the challenge into your schedule.
And as with all of the challenges in the series, your participation will help support Big City Mountaineers. When you register, you can choose how much you want to contribute to help under-resourced youth get outdoor mentoring opportunities. We hope you'll join us in supporting the life-changing work of BCM.
Our inaugural winter challenge runs from November 1, 2018 through April 30, 2019 – a six-month period. It is the first of two challenges planned for Arizona. Our summer challenge will run from May 1, 2019 to October 31, 2019, and features higher-elevation peaks with Flagstaff as the hub.
Hi! I see you plan on going Jan 12-19. I’m interested in hiking a few of those days! Let me know!
Hey Jacob (aka @saltysailor)! You bet. I’ve posted a rough schedule here in the Arizona challengers forum, and I’m working on getting the times better defined this week.
