Quartz Peak! It’s been about 15 years since I went up this trail. Getting to it before the sun came up was kind of sketchy
Fortunately the wind did not get too bad until we were already at the top – otherwise we might have turned around!
Large elevation gain fairly gradual climb, trail unclear at some points, look for the stacked rocks to guide you.
Great hike with a great group of hikers. Difficult trail to get to without a high clearance vehicle.
Very windy. A slow, meandering trail to a lovely, quartz-topped peak. Excellent views all around.
