My dog and I hiked from the lower trailhead. It was our first time starting at the bottom.  The weather was hot by our standards.

Very well maintained trail mostly in the shade.It is wild worth to start from the lower TH, loved it all the way.

I liked this hike. The trees are beautiful and it was clear – could see the sisters, Jefferson, Hood and as far as Adams.
