Black Butte

The Hike was great! Actually second time doing it this month! Did it with a friend that signed up for the six pack of peaks,

Cloudy skies up north in Portland and Mt. Hood prevented us to go hiking so we headed down south toward Bend when forecast was better.

Weather was fair and cool. Not too windy at the top but a light jacket or sweatshirt recommended. Trail is well maintained.

After a couple of weeks of hot weather I took advantage of today’s cooler temperatures and headed out for a morning hike up Black Butte.

Windy and sunny, lovely day hiking the 10 mile round trip from the lower Black Butte Trail all the way up. Passed by crazy runners
