Started at 7:15 am due to predicted hot weather today.  Hiked at a medium pace, with a few patches of snow near the top third

Towards top trail difficult to follow because of snow. Used spikes for last part & that helped. Wildflowers just beginning to come out.

Hiked in on the closed Makenzie Pass Highway 242 & camped at trailhead. Everything here is burned. Shared the road with lots of friendly road
