It was my first time hiking this peak.  I got a late start.  I debated going due to the recent wildfire smoke we’ve been having. 

The Gold Lake Road is in great shape for any type of vehicle.  The hike was through the  forest for about 5.5 miles before coming

Most of the hike is through a beautiful, healthy  forest. Views on top are stunning

Perfect weather for a hike although bit hazy at the top. Nearly 11 miles in 3.45 hrs. I hiked to the top and ran down.

The Maiden was beautiful and my favorite hike of the challenge so far! She is spectacular but long and parts are quite steep! The weather
