Maiden Peak

First time summiting Maiden Peak from the east side. Started at the Maiden Lake Trailhead, which requires miles driving on a washboard gravel road but

Hiked up in complete solitude.  Fist person on the trail that day.  The higher I climbed the more snow that I encountered.  Soft and sticky

The gate into Gold Lake was closed so we hiked into the trailhead from the Fuji trail on the Lake Waldo side adding a couple

Nice hike with some smoke.  last 1.5 mile was more challenging.  Fall foliage very nice.  Met group of 6-7 bikers, pretty awesome to ride tha
