Trail conditions good – some small spots of water and some snow spots for the last half mile, not deep or extreme. Hard to figure

Did this hike on Feb 5 2023 and it was a great smooth hike.  Decent amount of snow but it’s packed down and the trail
Did this hike in October when the mountain already had a good dusting of snow. Thought I came prepared with extra layers and micro-spikes. Nope
This hike was hard and left me hurting. Very steep hike but the views were amazing on the top.
