turtlehead peak

It was fun. I did it with my daddy and his friend,  Boz. I saw lots of desert flowers.  Lots awesome view.

We did this hike early,  before the sun started beating hard.  It was breathtaking with cool breezes every now and then. However,  at mile 2,

Weather was great – 70s to 80s with a slight breeze. Very sunny out! Trail was in good condition, just typical Red Rock slippery rocks.

Started at 6:20am as soon as the gate opened to the park.   Nice cooler morning with shade coming from the peak. The trail is rough

Should have brought poles like experienced hikers recommended to me at my fitness level. Left early to take advantage of mountain's shade on way to

Sunny blue skies, a little hot (85), but it felt good.
