We were able to drag my parents along on this one.  Their reaction?  No more 2.2 mile moderate trails for me!

It was a beautiful day and a fantastic hike.  Being from Tucson, this was my first hike in the Superstition mountains.  I'm thankful (being thanksgiving time) for this program to help open up my horizons on trails a little further than my usual travel radius.

We did a full loop, hiking up the Peralta trail and returning via the Cave trail.  Peralta trail is well maintained and traveled, easy to follow.  Not so much on the Cave trail.  We had a few GPS waypoints loaded that we used for reference, but we did have to search for the trail more than once.  We shouted Eureka everytime we saw a Cairn that seemed to indicate we were still on the right track.  When the cave trail linked back up to the bluff stream trail, things were easy going again and we made good time getting back.

We enjoy hiking with our 6 pack of peaks shirts.  At least half of the groups we passed today commented that they are doing the hikes as well.
