Backpacked from Devil’s Postpile to Yosemite on the JMT ????
Sweet! That’s a beautiful section of trail. I love the view of Banner Peak from Thousand Island Lake.
In June, I went to Alaska to backpack the Resurrection Pass Trail with the Outmersive film crew for our upcoming documentary! It was amazing and I definitely recommend Alaska as a great hiking/backpacking destination!
June adventures? A friend of mine, and his wife, headed west in an RV. I met them near Lake Tahoe, and did car-based camping for a few days. I showed them a few “local NorCal secrets”, including Bodie Ghost Town State Park, the Donner Summit train tunnels (dug by Chinese laborers for the Transcontinental railroad), and kayaking the pristine lake, north of Truckee https://www.nature.org/en-us/get-involved/how-to-help/places-we-protect/independence-lake/
Did a couple of high elevation hikes … Alta Peak in Sequoia National Park and Mt Dana in Yosemite. Mt Dana at 13000 ft was fun going up but quite challenging while coming down the screed terrain.
