Even though I had already completed the Challenge, I decided to tackle this as a bonus peak. The drive to the trailhead was just as
Underrated trail. Great hike, weather was good. Travelled to trail head from south through Maricopa
Never hike Quartz Peak before, but we already did the other 6 peaks so my brother and I decided “why not” do a new peak.
Hiked with my family. Got about 3/4 of a mile from the top and just could not go any further. The temps got pretty warm
