Volcan Mountain

There were great panoramic views at the summit and a beautiful hike

Clear day not too chilly — dusting of snow along the trail — stopped for pie after the hike

Trail conditions were great. 40°F Sunny and windy at the summit. A good amount of other hikers and dogs enjoying the beautiful day!

We started at the road and trip total was 5.55 miles, 1,390ft of gain, and took a little over 2hrs including time at the top.

Lovely incline hike – it was a pleasant, unexpected surprise to see a lone stand of large cedars and the forest at around 5,000 feet.
