Drizzly, chilly hike on Volcan Mtn to complete the SD POP for 2025.  Dressing in layers was appropriate given the weather temps and post rain.

It was my first challenge among 6 pack peaks. It was a little windy and cloudy, but it was good to walk through the trail

I went up the 5 Oaks Trail and down the main trail.  I was surprised how crowded it was since the day was a scorcher! 

Hike was enjoyable and easy. The ~1200 feet of elevation gain within 2.5 miles might be difficult for beginner hikers. Trail conditions were less rutted
