What a great hike today.  Love the 360° view and the side trip to Maiden lake.  No other hikers until I was coming down.

This was a strenuous route even though it saved a few miles overall I think the elevation gain was more severe this way. But my

Straight up once you get about 3 miles in. Bugs were terrible for first 3 miles too! No one there except me and my bud!
