I'm assuming you're referring to the SoCal Six-Pack of Peaks Challenge. Yes, there are several people that have done it in six days and two that did it in less than 48 hours. Not recommended. 😉

Hi Arthonee! Yes, send her first/last name and a unique email address to me at jeff@clean.socialhiker.net and we can get it setup.

You got it, Megan! Cool black and white shot in the hike log!

Rana — Fixed! Your profile also now correctly shows you've earned the Sitton Peak badge (not the Mt Wilson badge). 😉

Hi Lisa! We are still sorting the edit function. You can resubmit your Mount Wilson hike log if you want, and then let me know which one is the “good” one and we can remove it.

Hi Michael! This short video gives you an overview of logging your hike and other common tasks:

Absolutely! You can hike it from either trailhead. Same with the other peaks. I hiked Piestewa Peak from the Dreamy Draw trailhead, for example.

Thanks for the heads up, Jason. This is the first year recreation.gov will be handling the permits, so I suspect there may be some bumps in the initial rollout.

I would recommend the Maple Springs trailhead. See this post from CeCe (one of our ambassadors) and swipe through the images for a map.
So I am about to finish my 6th peak this week (October 9) .. can I still be on the finisher's list? Can I go to the finisher party?
You posted this one day AFTER the finishers party (which was on October 6th). Yes, you can still get on the finishers list up through December 31st. And we will be updating our Finishers posters and t-shirts sometime the first week of January with the final FINAL list of finishers.
Looks like the AZ Winter 2020 challenge is identical to 2019. Sure wish it would have included some new peaks.
What peaks would you like to see included?

I'm planning to try to hike them using different trails from last year: Camelback via Echo Canyon; Piestewa via Dreamy Draw; Wasson Peak via the Sweetwater Trail; and so on.

Hey Jason, thanks for the great question!

Registration for the 2018/19 winter challenge is closed, because, well, the challenge ended on April 30th. There WILL be a 2019/20 winter challenge. The challenge hike dates run from November 1 to April 30th, and we don't yet know what the exact peak lineup will be, or if there will be changes at all. Typically we open an “early-bird” registration one month before the actual challenge begins, so that would be around October 1st.

UPDATE: I should've posted this earlier, but, you know… life happens. As it turned out, we moved from Oregon to California toward the end of June. My wife started a new job there, and that pre-empted our planned Colorado trip. Sorry to say, it's not going to happen this year, but I hope to finagle a trip sometime next summer.
